UC Merced’s policy is to comply with its obligations under The California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) to promote the identification and reporting of child abuse and neglect. All university employees who are mandated reporters must make required reports to child protection or law enforcement agencies. Mandated reporters must also complete the following training.
CANRA Mandated Reporter
This training will provide an overview of the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (“CANRA”), and you will learn to recognize the responsibilities of a mandated reporter, identify how to report, and locate resources at your location.
This course is required one-time only and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Individuals who have been assigned to complete these courses will receive a system-generated notification and can find the assignment listed in the Required Training analysis in the UC Learning Center
CANRA Mandated Reporters who have not yet been assigned this course can find and complete the course by searching the UC Learning Center for CANRA or clicking the link above
